Veneer Tiles

    The veneer tile series has been a way for me to experiment with surface design, glaze and inlay. It combines manually extruded ceramic cladding with cabinet marquetry. Initially, I began this project with abstract pools of glaze and allowing the wood veneer to fill in the space around it. I have since become interested in pattern and represetnational iamgery and working to build on these ideas for larger more complex surfaces.
